Staff One are delighted to be working with our new client based in the Huddersfield area. Our client is a market leader in the field of technology & and telecoms.
Due to expansion, our client is now looking to recruit a full time Electrician to work full time Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:45. Overtime is also available and the successful candidate will also be provided with a company van and uniform.
Overall responsibilities:Installing electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment. Installing safety and distribution components. Installation Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm systems.
The role:
- Visit sites to survey work and materials, followed by a survey write up (report)
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
- Installation, and commissioning of Access Control Systems, CCTV and Fire Alarm or related equipment.
- Create site specific RAMS documentation
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
Core skills & requirements:- 18th edition qualified electrician with at least NVQ Level 3
- 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification
- Ability to manage own workload, to be thorough and pay attention to detail
- Adaptability and flexibility

- Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and customers
